Thank you to the Actors

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the actors that participated in the auditions and call-backs and congratulate those that were successful.

We understand that there were a minority of actors that might have sent their CVs in and if you never got a response from us, then these CVs did not come in our mail or email - all resume's recieved were registered and filed. At the same time there were a minority that were booked in for certain dates and times, but did not show up. We also left emails and messages with some actors, but we did not recieve a response.

The total number of actors auditioned were: 186 for 8 roles. (61 females and 125 males)

On average there were approx. 5-6 people per role for a call-back.

We had great difficulty in making our decisions, as for some roles, it was almost impossible to decide between the 2 or 3 of the call-backs.

Therefore, we developed a numbering system based on several items such as:

• Emotional Interpretation
• Enthusiasm
• Concentration
• Vocal projection
• Character likeness
• Understanding direction
• Interpretation of the character
• Ability to adapt/change
• Improvisational skills
• Previous theatre experience based on CV
• Training and years of experience

There were four of us that viewed the call-back footage over and over again to rate each item out of a score of 10. It was a difficult process, but assured us that we would get a good result, and aided us in coming to a mutual and fair decision.
